Chop the nuts and roast them in a pan. Set aside. Fry the finely chopped onions, celery and carrots in a pan with a little oil. Fry for 5-10 minutes. Add the mushrooms. Add the herbs, chopped tomatoes and tomato puree and mix well. Let everything simmer for about 10min.
In the meantime cook the pasta. Finally, stir the yeast flakes and nuts into the sauce and serve with basil.
